Meet Our Team

Jennifer Moor
she/hers
I have over 20 years of experience working with persons living with and affected by HIV. My journey started with an infant who was born with HIV in 1992 and it sparked a passion to learn everything I could and later support pregnant women living with HIV and their newborns. Currently, I oversee a program in rural, southern Colorado providing education and testing for HIV and Hepatitis C. The passion has never subsided as I work to improve health equity and outcomes for people at high risk in rural communities.

Alexander Limas
he/him
Alex grew up in San Antonio, TX and has been in Colorado since 2015. Growing up, sexual health education was not often talked about and he wanted to help youth and young adults get the information they need. Alex has been working in the sexual health and prevention field for over 10 years and is so excited to continue amplifying youth voices advocating for sexual health through Be You Colorado.

AJ De La Garza
he/him, they/them
After spending over a decade in clinical healthcare as a lab scientist I, like most others during the pandemic, re-evaluated my life and decided to go back to school and pursue my MSW to work in sex/gender affirmation counseling and sexual health/sex therapy with the LGBTQ community. As a gay man myself I feel I have a unique understanding of community needs. I am a strong proponent for harm reduction and sex-positivity and attempt to approach my job and life with those beliefs in mind.

she/her/hers
I’m an undergraduate student at CU Denver studying Biochemistry and Political Science. I enjoy being a part of the Youth Leadership Team team not only because of the different impacts we can help make related to youth sexual health, but also because of all of the new experiences we can continuously engage in and learn from.

As a gay man, sexual health and being a member of the Youth Leadership Team matters to me because representation matters! I want to make sexual health inclusive and accessible to LGBTQIA+ youth so they feel safe, loved, and welcomed to be themselves.

Major: Psychology with a minor of Sociology
I wanted to get involved in the sexual health world because of the amount of information and perspective I gain through hearing so many individuals story within the community. I chose to join the Youth Leadership Team because of the opportunity to serve different groups within the community that provide me different perspective of how one lives life differently!
