Youth Leaders
As a for-youth, by-youth program dedicated to empowering Colorado’s young people to take charge of their sexual health, our youth leadership team serves as our executive board. These engaged, open-minded, and passionate high school and college students are committed to ensuring their peers have access to comprehensive and medically accurate resources so they can make informed decisions about their sexual health. Their involvement is crucial in shaping services that truly meet the needs and desires of Colorado’s youth and young adults.

Solari (she/her/hers)

They work with Denver Health School-Based Health Centers and BE YOU Colorado to support youth-centered, stigma-free access to health education and resources. Solari is passionate about empowering young people with knowledge that promotes safer choices and health equity.

Destiny (she/her/hers)
Hello, I’m Destiny (She/her). I am a student at CU Denver studying Philosophy and Communication. I initially started studying sexual health after noticing many tensions and contradictions surrounding sex, and I wanted to educate not only myself but others. Eventually, that led to me joining Be You Colorado, which I am loving. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space to talk and learn about bodies and what we do with them is such a great experience. I hope to continue building community and cultivating good (sexual) health. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone feels empowered in making informed decisions so they can stay safe and have fun. When I am not talking about sexual health, you can find me at a concert, playing 8-ball pool, going on side quests with friends, or at AMC watching the newest horror movie!

Lilla (she/her/hers)
Hi, I’m Lilla. I work as a youth leader at Be You Colorado. I love helping people and have dreams of being in the mental health field when I become an adult. I am excited to help my friends and other queer kids who are vulnerable during this time.
