Jennifer (Jen) Moor, LCSW/MPH
Jennifer (Jen) Moor, LCSW/MPHHIV Prevention Program Manager
Jen began her journey in 1992, driven by a passion ignited by an HIV-positive infant. With both an MSW and MPH, she started working with pregnant people and infants living with HIV before becoming the Rural Prevention Coordinator, focusing on HIV and Hepatitis C education and testing in underserved communities in rural and Southern Colorado. Now, as the Prevention Program Manager for the HIV Prevention Program, Jen oversees initiatives aimed at improving health equity and outcomes for high-risk populations across Colorado. Her extensive experience in public health and dedication to vulnerable communities have made her a key figure in advancing HIV prevention and care throughout the state.
Zachary (Zach) Littrell, MPH Candidate
Zachary (Zach) Littrell, MPH CandidateHIV Prevention Specialist
Zach (he/they) is currently pursuing an MPH in Epidemiology and Global health at the Colorado School of Public Health. Zach joined Be You Colorado as a youth leader in 2021 to help advocate for sexual health and HIV prevention in Denver. Zach now works as an HIV Prevention Specialist, striving to make sexual health inclusive and empowering for all youth, including LGBTQIA+, justice involved, and unhoused youth, valuing the power of representation to foster safe, loving spaces where everyone feels welcomed. He provides education, prevention materials, and testing services primarily in the Denver Metro Area, partnering with health departments, non-profits, universities and colleges, and community organizations. In his spare time, Zach is an avid runner, horror lover, and cat dad to Salem.
Lisa Abuogi, MD MSc
Lisa Abuogi, MD MScHIV Prevention Program Director
Lisa (she/her) is a pediatrician and HIV specialist with a focus on pediatric, adolescent, and perinatal HIV. After earning her MD from the University of Colorado and completing her pediatrics residency and Global Health fellowship at UCSF, she worked in Kenya, enhancing HIV prevention and treatment services as the deputy country director for the FACES program. Now an associate professor at the University of Colorado and the medical director for the HIV Prevention Program, she leads research focused on improving HIV treatment outcomes for women, youth, and children, as well as the efficacy of TelePrEP services for youth and young adults across Colorado.
Miss Jai Smith
Miss Jai SmithHIV Prevention Specialist
Miss Jai (she/her & he/him) is new to Denver, CO and has been working in HIV prevention and care since 2011. She has worked in both clinical and non-clinical settings providing HIV testing, medical case management, and PrEP and nPEP navigation for LGBTQ+ youth and adults. For the last three years, he has run a capacity-building program for healthcare and public health professionals, developing and facilitating training to over 2,200 colleagues and providing technical assistance to over 20 organizations nationwide on serving Transgender, Non-Binary, and Intersex patients and clients. In her spare time, Miss Jai likes picking up new crafts, attending community events, and attempting to garden.
Julianne Barnett
Julianne BarnettDigital Platfor Coordinator
Julianne (she/her) is a Digital Platform Coordinator with a diverse background that spans social work, marketing, and public health. Beginning her career as a community support worker, Julianne worked with adults and children facing mental health challenges, providing vital support in the community. Transitioning into marketing, she gained experience in agencies before joining a non-profit focused on HIV prevention, where she leverages digital platforms to raise awareness and educate. Currently pursuing further education in sex education, Julianne combines her passion for social impact with digital expertise to create meaningful change in healthcare communication.
